Do You Want What I Want? – PART 1

What do you want? I’m sure you’ve asked that question, and been asked that question, hundreds or even thousands of times!

“What do you want, John?”

“Mary, what do you REALLY want?”

As a father of 3, husband, entrepreneur, and partner to several CEO’s, I’ve asked that question countless times. Then one morning, not long ago I woke up with a HUGE ah-ha!

I realized that while this great question is flying all around me, all the time – me asking others, and others asking me, I’m almost never asking myself – “what do I want?”

So I started periodically checking in and asking myself. And man what I’m getting, on an ongoing basis, are some really cool and interesting answers!

So why am I sharing this with you?

I’m sharing this with you because ultimately “what I want” involves others.

Now I said “others” NOT “everyone”, and that’s a critical distinction, because if what I wanted involved “everyone” then by definition I would “need” you because you’re a part of “everyone”.

No, while what I want definitely involves others, that may or may not include you. And before I’m through you’ll know if it should include you. And only you can know.

Just so we’re clear. What I’m about to share is not intended to convince, persuade, sell, or pressure you in any way.

What I will be doing is opening a door into me and giving you access to my heart and my mind.

You see when I began to get clear on what I wanted, I realized that connecting with others was a key component, as I’ll explain in a minute.

And as simple and obvious as it sounds, I also realized that it’s really hard to connect with people if you don’t share. So this is all about me sharing my heart, mind, and creativity.

Even before I’m all the way through you’ll know if this should include you. And by the way, if you think this should include you, you will end up doing it for you, not for me. I hope that makes sense, because it’s so important for you to understand.

So when I took the time to ask myself “what do I REALLY want”, and perhaps even more importantly, I took the time to listen to myself, here’s what I found out:

I want to be creating and living a lifestyle of my choice and choosing. I want to have the freedom to chose my lifestyle and the where-with-all to actually live it.
